Bears Give Lance Briggs 1-Year Extension

" (CBS) The Bears and Pro Bowl linebacker Lance Briggs have agreed on a one-year contract extension, the team announced Wednesday.

Briggs’ deal with the Bears now runs through 2014.

“My dream is to retire as a Bear and I know that I will retire a Bear,” Briggs said Wednesday on a conference call. “But I’m just excited right now "
