The Bears signed Bush to a four-year contract worth roughly $7 million in guaranteed money. Forte, however, still is without a long-term contract as the Bears have placed the franchise tag on him.
Still, one Bears experts said there is no chance Forte will hold out.
“There is no way Matt Forte will hold out of the regular season,” Brad Biggs of the National Football Post and Chicago Tribune told The Mully and Hanley Show. “That’s just cockamamie. For someone to suggest that’s a possibility, they’re not grounded in reality. The situation is, with this franchise tag, his game check in Week 1 will be equal to 12 game checks from this past season "
